The cd is magnificent, looking forward to playing it on my way across the desert from so cal to vegas. If I had to pick a favorite it would be Powers at Play - that song really grooves! Thanks for letting us know what your listening to by sharing your ipod selections especially the current music you like. Being such a rock legend I wonder what you think the relevant stuff is today and this gives us some insight. i am really curious what you think of Coldplay or Arcade Fire (fellow canadians) as they are putting out some awesome music imho..
And your absolutely right about Sharkeys!!

As always, thanks for sharing. 1st posting for me, long time fan, Burton. Glad to see Road Food up there. Always a Guess Who favorite. You got me into Gene Vincent a long time ago. How about Rocky Road Blues, you and Randy could do it on Jukebox 2. You might put your Be Bop a Lula on the player, a lot of people may have never heard it. Loving Above the Ground, its for the ages. Best in all you may do, GQ JOHNNY

"MASCULINE INTUITION-MUSIC MACHINE 1966"

I've chatted via MySpace email with Sean Bonniwell a few times - interesting individual. Extremely bright man... went in an entirely different direction post-Music Machine. I'm not into where his head's at, but I was very impressed with him as a human being... which led to my buying some Music Machine and really listening.

And Highway To Hell... well... :)

On the new Ipods there is the genius feature. Love the way it works...choose one song and it will figure out a play list for you of songs that fit into the same mood and style:

For example - Entering Albert Flasher..here is the generated playlist

Albert
Looking out for #1 BTO
Hey Lawdy Mama Steppenwolf
Helen Wheels Mccartney
Long Tall Glasses Sayer
Bad Time Grand Funk
People Gotta Move Vannelli
Rain Dance
Fly at Night, Chilliwack
My own way to rock
Be My Lover - Alice
Patio Lanterns - mitchell
12:30 Mamas and Papas
Venus and Mars
Star Baby
Blue Collar
Painted Ladies
Back off Boogaloo
No Sugar Tonight
Stand Tall
Glamour Boy

ETC

Can't think of much I would want to change with that playlist..Thanks Apple

What a great play list. I like variety like this as well. My collection is so huge I can't keep it organized. Then I have tons of vinyl & shellac that I haven't digitized yet. Wish I could hire someone to do it for me! Right now loving The Highwaymen's 1st album (with Michael Row The Boat Ashore). The whole album is stunning. Hoping to grab a minute to digitize The Singing Nun album. Have had it for years but actually only listened to 2 songs on it so far.

I bet you already have this stuff but if you don't you gotta check out Tico & The Triumphs, Jerry Landis, and Tom & Jerry. This is pre-Simon & Garfunkel Paul Simon stuff. I love it. Here's a YouTube link to Tick Tock by Jerry Landis:

BTW..I put your New Bartender In Town Video on my MySpace site. Thanks for making it.

Miss talking with all of you. Been too busy. But as an auto worker, I'm about to get laid-off, again. Trust me...Detroit union auto workers do NOT make tons and tons of money. Those anti-union pundits lie when they say that crap. I can barely survive.

Sorry...rather pissed off when I'm almost destitute and everyone says I'm rich.

Gotta split now and try to get 4 hours at work today.

Peace,
CaptJach

Hey Burton, I hope this doesn't post three times. I keep getting kicked out. My hiney is sore. I agree with LTJ. This is a playlist to die for. Anything by Bobby Rydell is a winner. I have an LP from Cameo-Parkway with Bobby and several of the performers who were signed to that label. It still has the pictures that you can peel off. "Out of Limits". Great Burton! Love and blessings to you always. Joyce
